Do you offer home IT support?
We do not carry out repairs for home users. A list of home computer repair companies is available here.
What computer systems do you fix?
We can fix any PC, Mac or laptop running Microsoft Windows (whatever the version) GNU/linux (Ubuntu) OS 9 or OS X. That means no matter what your system you are running, we are able to help.
What services do you offer?
We offer a comprehensive range of services. We can give help and assistance with hardware installations (like fitting a new hard drive), upgrades, installing software, wired or wireless network installations, backing up your computer, slow or non starting computers, virus removal, spyware removal, buying a new computer, internet connections, broadband, hardware installations, open source software and software training. If there is something you want us to do that isn’t listed, call or email us and we will let you know if we can help.
Do you do hardware repairs?
Yes. Whatever the problem with your computer, even if it’s hardware related, we can provide a quotation for repair. This includes cracked laptop screens, broken keyboards etc. If it’s not worthwhile getting it repaired, we’ll let you know before we charge you. That means you don’t have to waste money on expensive diagnosis.
Do I always have to pay for you to come out? What if it’s something really simple?
There is no charge for any help we provide over the telephone – why not call our free computer helpline now on 0800 7879 258 to see if we can talk you through the problem? Even if we do have to visit you, our prices start from just £40.
What kind of guarantee do you offer?
If you aren’t happy with the work we have carried out, we will refund 100% of any charges we have made (excluding hardware). All our work is backed by a 30 day guarantee. All hardware supplied is guaranteed for twelve months.
Where are you based?
Our head offices are located in Epsom, Surrey.
- Our free computer helpline service is offered in good faith. A fair usage policy does apply. If your call exceeds ten (10) minutes, we may ask to complete the diagnosis and repair on site.
- Payment for Jaytag Computer products and services must be made on completion of any work undertaken. Payments by cash, guaranteed cheque, or credit/debit card are accepted. We reserve the right to keep in our posession any computer equipment repaired until such payment is made.
- It is your responsibility to ensure that any program or data stored on computer equipment to be repaired is adequately backed up. We do not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to any such data unless agreed in writing prior to any work being undertaken.
- We will not install unlicensed software on to your computer. You must provide license keys and installation media for all software to be installed.
- All works are guaranteed for one month unless agreed in writing prior to any work being undertaken. Hardware components are guaranteed for twelve months. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
- If you are unhappy with the service we have provided, we will refund any labour charges we have made for carrying out a repair. Please note that in all cases (unless this otherwise waived) a maximum fee of £20 may apply for collection and return of your computer equipment.
